In any bureaucracy, the people devoted to the benefit of the bureaucracy itself always get in control and those dedicated to the goals that the bureaucracy is supposed to accomplish have less and less influence, and sometimes are eliminated entirely.
Thanks for posting this, well written. Even though this was written a few months back, it’s still applicable. Too many times, the swamp has been able to derail any thought of reducing the size of government. But to reduce the size of the government is to reduce the influence of the swamp and increase liberty for the people
